Multiple teams representing FHC will be participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick signature fundraising event — Bowl For Kids’ Sake. The event will take place on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1 in Brunswick. The event will include bowling, DJ music, and numerous door prizes and giveaways. This year’s theme is Back to the ’80s and teams are invited to dress up.
According to Sherri Emery, one of this year’s FHC team captains, “Bowl for Kids Sake is an amazing event that supports a good cause. Friendly competition between FHC teams, as well as teams from other businesses, really creates an enjoyable atmosphere in which to raise money and have fun!”
By participating in BFKS, FHCers will be contributing to a nationwide fundraising effort in support of youth mentoring programs. The combined national events involve over half a million people. The Bath/Brunswick area event involves about 600 bowlers and all donations-raised remain in the local community. Last year, FHC sent two teams to participate in the annual event.
