FHC’s research micropositioning systems are high quality, highly configurable and ideally suited for a wide range of electrode positioning applications from tissue slice recording and stimulation to chronic primate experiments.
All of our micropositioning systems are designed to provide micron-level hydraulic control of the electrode depth. Optional configurations allow researchers the ability to:
- integrate the micropositioning system into existing experimental control systems through computerized control and read-back of electrode depths;
- easily raise or lower guide tubes for dura penetration and deep site recording;
- finely adjust X & Y coordinates for parallel trajectories; and
- independently control the depths of multiple electrodes in an array.
The two main components of all our research micropositioning systems are the Hydraulic Drive/Controller System and the Positioner System.
