Community Commitment

FHC has close ties with the rural towns of Bowdoin and Bowdoinham, Maine where the company headquarters and production facilities are located.  FHC’s Community Action Team (CAT) leads fundraising activities or contributes directly to benefit local agencies and organizations including the two local grade schools, Fire Departments, local EMS, Boy Scouts of America, MS Society, St. Jude's, the Dempsey Challenge, and many other organizations and individuals who have a demonstrated need for support.

FHC also actively supports United Way and the American Red Cross and has recently established a new scholarship program, The Community Education Foundation,that awarded grants to 13 local college students in its inaugural disbursement in fall of 2010. 

FHC provides direct services to the communities by offering full-service child day care and fitness centers, including financial assistance to needy community members to help offset the cost of tuition/memberships.
