“The latest 1.4
release greatly enhances user experience with the Guideline
4000™, creating a highly customizable environment along with new
features to simplify setup and use,” described FHC Product
Manager, Dr. Jason Moyer.
The new
software release expedites operating room setup through
user-tailored profiles that save preference settings for
equipment, recording, stimulation and display. Factory-specified
configurations improve setup efficiency and facilitate
troubleshooting.
Surgical teams
will now be able to review and compare electrode passes at a
glance with the “raster” function. New in version 1.4, this
function enables side-by-side, color-coded comparisons of
recorded neural activity snapshots versus depth for each track,
aiding in the placement of depth electrodes.

An optional
pre-amp hardware
update supports separate or simultaneous
display of local field potentials (LFP) and high-frequency spike
data. Straightforward data export to disk for analysis in Matlab
and other applications aids basic research in clinical
settings.
